Job Title: Installation Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Installation Manager to oversee daily activities for BUTTERFIELD SIGNS LTD. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation department and teams daily, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company procedures.
  • Schedule work for installation teams using the BOSS system, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Brief installation crews, including subcontractors, on works required, in conjunction with Project Managers.
  • Liaise with Project Managers regarding installations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team daily for assistance with call-outs and resolving installation-related issues.
  • Liaise with the Production/Production Coordinator regarding job product updates, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Arrange deliveries and collections for the business, working closely with the Production team.
  • Ensure installation reports, including those from subcontractors, are thorough and accurate, including fixing details and methodology.
  • Recruit and manage installers, conducting interviews and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct disciplinary actions, toolbox talks, and appraisals as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety protocols during installations.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including pre-agreement of job costs and van stock levels.
  • Assist with Health and Safety initiatives, working closely with the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Collate and assess subcontractor training documents and company details.
  • Liaise with the Production team regarding job product updates and completion for loading to site.
  • Coordinate product collection from departments to ensure a smooth installation process.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Market knowledge and understanding of the sign industry
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Strong time management and planning skills
  • Prior experience in the sign industry or construction is preferred
