Job Title: Senior Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, support, and encouragement to young people in a residential setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical and emotional support to young people in a variety of settings, including classroom, education, and off-site activities.
  • Enable young people to develop by providing guidance, support, and encouragement.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain a stable, happy, and caring environment that prioritizes the health, safety, and welfare of young people.
  • Be a good role model and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Support young people in developing their personal cleanliness, general hygiene, and appearance.
  • Monitor young people's condition and contribute to record-keeping in the Master Care Plan.
  • Administer medication and assist with medical and welfare needs as required.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as appropriate.
  • Be an effective Keyworker/Personal Tutor for young people.
  • Support young people in managing their behavior using approved approaches.
  • Promote equality and challenge discriminatory practices.
  • Safeguard young people from abuse and report any concerns to management.
  • Write accurate and comprehensive reports for reviews and keep records for monitoring purposes.
  • Take primary responsibility for a specific area of service development or project.
  • Attend training and achieve qualifications as required.
  • Participate in programs, activities, and residential, leisure, and classroom situations to promote learning.
  • Attend work reliably and punctually and follow a work pattern as required.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 RQF certificate in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to carry out effective debrief.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a stable, happy, and caring environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and their implementation in care settings.
