About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Surveyor to join our team at The Hyde Group. As a Technical Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our properties by managing fire door and fire compartmentation works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fire Risk Assessment and Compliance: Ensure the delivery of all Fire Risk Assessment actions, responsive repairs, and maintenance programmes in compliance with Fire Safety and Building regulations.
  • Contract Management: Manage framework contractors to meet quality and budget targets, producing monthly expenditure and performance reports.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, residents, and agencies to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure contract compliance.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare and review technical reports, appraisals, schedules, and contract specification documents.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect the quality of workmanship, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify trends in work quality, issue necessary notices, and implement corrective actions to address risks.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience with Fire Risk Assessments and fire door installation and compliance.
  • Contract Management: Strong background in managing contractors.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and adapt to change.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualification in surveying, fire door inspection, etc.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driving License: Driving license and own car is essential.
