Data Modeler Job Description

Tiger Analytics is seeking a skilled Data Modeler to join our team. As a Data Modeler, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into working logical and physical data models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain Logical Data Model (LDM) and Physical Data Model (PDM) for the project.
  • Develop and maintain the Source to Target Data Mapping document, including documentation of all entities, attributes, data relationships, primary and foreign key structures, allowed values, codes, business rules, glossary terms, etc.
  • Gather and publish Data Dictionaries, maintaining data models and capturing data models from existing databases and recording descriptive information.
  • Identify business needs, organize and define data, create and maintain Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models, and maintain appropriate Version Control on data models.
  • Participate in the de-normalization of the data model, ensuring that business rules impacted during de-normalization are implemented via an alternate mechanism.
  • Hands-on experience in designing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.

Requirements:

  • CPG/FMCG domain experience is a must.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
