Job Description:

As a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer, you will be working within a dynamic team to design and develop LV architecture for electric powertrain systems in buses and other vehicles. Under the supervision of management, you will contribute to the creation of high-quality, reliable products by working closely with the engineering team, customers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop LV, HV, and CAN network architectures for electric bus repower projects.
  • Build and test harnesses for the LV, HV, and CAN networks, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to understand requirements and develop design solutions.
  • Work within a team to drive design solutions, utilizing own ideas and initiative.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify electrical component functionality and performance.
  • Support the development of new products and technologies through research and development efforts.
  • Provide technical support to other engineers on the team.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and test plans.
  • Perform job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures to ensure preservation of Company Quality Policy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive electrical engineering, preferably in the electric vehicle industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO26262 and the V-cycle.
  • Motivated to expand and further develop knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a small team or independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and building LV, HV, and CAN network architectures.
  • Experience in building and testing harnesses for LV, HV, and CAN networks.
  • Familiarity with electric powertrain systems and components, such as batteries, electric motors, and power electronics.
  • Experience working with electrical simulation and design software.
  • Familiarity with automotive electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
