Teaching Personnel Biology Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join our team in Kettering. This is an exciting opportunity to shape young minds and foster a love for biology in students from KS3 to KS5.

As a Teaching Personnel Biology Teacher, you will be working with a variety of different schools across the Kettering area, covering lessons for secondary students on both short-term and long-term bookings. Depending on the role, you may be required to plan and mark lessons, so it is essential that you are confident in doing so, ideally up to A-level standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work, ensuring individual learning needs are met (Depending on the exact position).
  • Encourage a positive learning environment and promote academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and contribute to extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching biology at secondary school level (KS3, KS4, and preferably KS5).
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire curiosity in the field of biology.
  • Desire to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of varying backgrounds and abilities.
  • Adaptable teaching approach, with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
