Design Engineer - Mechanical Systems

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team at KPJ Group, a leading manufacturer known for engineering excellence and strong heritage. As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering mechanical system designs that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting technical specifications and developing design solutions in conjunction with designers
  • Preparing technical documents, including specifications, reports, and manuals
  • Undertaking hardware development and testing
  • Liaising with suppliers and representing the company at customer review meetings
  • Providing support for Production, Test, and Field Engineering teams
  • Collaborating with the sales team on bids and quotations
Requirements:
  • Qualified to Degree level in a relevant engineering subject
  • 5+ years of experience in design, testing, and development of mechanical systems
  • Medium to heavy engineering experience
  • Understanding of large welded and bolted mechanical structures
  • Proven experience in designing systems from concept to production
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS package and analysis tools
  • Hands-on 3D CAD design expertise
  • Knowledge of Access and Teamcenter is an advantage
