Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team at Onyx-Conseil. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions using Java, Spring, and other relevant technologies.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in system design, development, and architecture, with a strong background in Java and related technologies.
  2. Experience in developing medium to large-scale software applications, including core Java, multi-threading, and database management.
  3. Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with experience in React or Angular.
  4. Experience with middleware messaging, including MQ/TIBCO or Kafka.
  5. Working knowledge of databases, SQL, and NoSQL.
  6. Spring, Spring Boot, and other relevant frameworks and tools.
  7. Understanding of HTTP protocol and REST APIs.
  8. General server-side development and deployment experience.
  9. Good knowledge of Unix and scripting.
  10. Experience with dev-ops culture and CI/CD methods and principles.
  11. Good knowledge of standard development and build tools, e.g., GIT, TeamCity.
  12. Experience in Distributed Caching, Agile Delivery Methodologies, and Unit Testing methodologies.
  13. Experience with containerization and public/private cloud deployments.

This role requires a Monday to Friday working pattern, with two days per week working onsite at our client location in Glasgow.
