Position: Field-Based Commercial Gas Technician

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + door to door travel.

Location: Leicester

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Reporting To: Engineering Manager

TECREC (ENGINEERING RECRUITMENT SPECIALISTS) LTD is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Technician to join a well-established engineering group with over seven decades of experience in the industry.

Since its inception in 1945, the company has been dedicated to delivering top-notch engineering solutions across retail, commercial, and industrial sectors. Their manufacturing and engineering capabilities blend expertise with innovation, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technology.

The organization employs approximately 700 individuals and boasts 140,000 square feet of manufacturing space.

As a Commercial Gas Technician, your responsibilities will include both planned and reactive maintenance throughout Leicester.

You will be expected to:

  • Complete PPM works efficiently and proactively.
  • Report issues to the helpdesk and seek guidance from the contract manager when necessary.
  • Produce detailed quotes, ensuring accurate parts and labor times for profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Diagnose breakdowns effectively and ensure timely repairs.
  • Document all work performed and raise necessary documentation as required.
  • Adhere to mandatory health, safety, compliance, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Maintain site logbooks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
