Asbestos Laboratory Analyst

Salary / Benefits: £24k - £30k + Training + Benefits
We are working closely with a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy who are looking to take on a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Laboratory Analyst. You will be joining a friendly and busy team and will be responsible for carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines, using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out analysis on asbestos samples.
- Ensuring to log all samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
- Bagging, labelling, and storing samples safely and correctly.
- Preparing samples for analysis.
- Ensuring to complete job sheets upon completion of analysis, returning to clients in a timely manner.
- Maintaining the company's UKAS accreditation.
- Providing technical support and advice when required.
Requirements:
- Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
- Will have experience working within a UKAS accredited laboratory for a reputable Asbestos Consultancy.
- In-depth knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.
- Excellent observation skills.
- Able to communicate efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills.
