About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Stroke Therapy Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing specialized rehabilitation and care to stroke patients across various settings, including the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit and within patients' homes.
Our multidisciplinary team uniquely covers three areas: acute care, rehabilitation, and community support. This allows for a comprehensive approach to patient care and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions tailored to the individual needs of stroke patients.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on managing daily living activities following a stroke.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice within the team.
About You
You will be a registered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with stroke or neurological patients. A strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and best practices is essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role.
