The Opportunity: Deputy Casualty Underwriting Officer

We are seeking a skilled Casualty Underwriting specialist to join our team as a Deputy Casualty Underwriting Officer. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Casualty to support the Lead Underwriting Officer and leadership teams across various business segments, including Retail, SME, and Specialty. Your primary focus will be on monitoring and contributing to the profitable growth of our Casualty and Third Party portfolios.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to the Lead Underwriting Officer in managing the Casualty portfolio.
  • Collaborate with business segment teams to ensure effective underwriting practices and risk management strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies to mitigate losses and maximize profitability.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and make informed underwriting decisions based on available data and industry best practices.
