Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Practitioner / Nursery Nurse to join our team at Tigerlily Childcare Berks and Bucks Limited. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Activity Leadership: Plan, implement, and evaluate a wide range of stimulating activities that align with the EYFS framework.
  • Child Observations: Conduct detailed observations and assessments of children's development, identifying individual needs and creating tailored learning plans.
  • Environment Management: Ensure the learning environment is well-organised, safe, and engaging, promoting children's independence and exploration.
  • Parental Engagement: Develop strong partnerships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and involving them in the learning process.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to apprentices and Level 2 educators, fostering their professional growth.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure all activities comply with nursery policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
  • Professional Development: Continuously update your knowledge and skills through training and reflective practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
  • Experience: Significant experience in an early years setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire junior staff members.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Knowledge of EYFS: In-depth understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and best practices in early childhood education.
