We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Children and Young People's Team Lead at Adamas House CIC. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Support: Collaborate with the Registered Manager to guide and support staff, ensuring they work in line with policies, legislative requirements, and the organization's statement of purpose.
- Staff Supervision: Ensure Children's Residential Workers receive regular supervision and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Operational Management: Handle day-to-day operational issues in the absence of the Residential Manager/Deputy Manager, ensuring children and young people's needs are met and liaising with families and other agencies for child-centered care.
- Plan Adherence: Guide the team in following children and young people's personal plans and risk assessments, embedding routines, and maintaining boundaries to support their wellbeing and development.
- Activity Promotion: Encourage engagement in activities both within the home and in the local area, introducing creative and innovative experiences that enrich the young people's lives.
- Health & Safety: Assist in ensuring Health & Safety standards and procedures are followed, creating a nurturing environment for young people to explore their emotions safely.
- Performance Monitoring: Help establish and monitor performance standards and compliance with statutory and operational standards for residential children's care.
- Documentation: Support in creating One Page Profiles, Individual Support Plans, and Personal Plans, and lead the care staff in maintaining daily documentation and record-keeping.
- Staff Training: Foster a skilled and competent workforce by supporting staff training and ensuring understanding of organizational aims and objectives.
- Building Maintenance: Report maintenance issues in the absence of the Residential Manager and Deputy Manager.
- Qualifications: Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)
- Experience: Residential Childcare: 1 year (required), Team leader or equivalent: 1 year (required)
- Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred), NVQ Level 3 in children's residential or equivalent (preferred)
