Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Accountant, you will be instrumental in driving the advancement of renewable energy initiatives in the UK. Your key duties will encompass:
  • Collecting and analyzing financial data to generate precise reports for budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts reporting, adhering to strict timelines.
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory financial statements, including accompanying notes and addressing audit inquiries.
  • Collaborating with external service providers for various tasks (group funding requests, quarterly VAT submissions, tax returns, statutory accounts, and compliance with legal and board requirements).
  • Ensuring timely cash calls based on interests in each entity and joint venture, while guaranteeing accurate reporting of joint venture invoicing.
  • Supervising and managing the month-end closing process, including the review and preparation of accruals and cost allocations.
  • Acting as the primary contact for all joint venture matters, preparing monthly management accounts, leading finance committee meetings, and ensuring timely completion of agreed action items.
  • Facilitating the execution, confirmation, and settlement of Contracts for Difference (CFDs) and other energy derivatives.
  • Handling daily cash management tasks, including processing outgoing payments, recording incoming cash transactions, and conducting daily cash position assessments.
  • Assisting with special projects.
  • Exhibiting exemplary conduct regarding Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (H3SE) and enforcing H3SE protocols within your area of responsibility.
