Senior Motor Trade Underwriter - Stride Resource Management Ltd

Our esteemed insurance partner is seeking a skilled Senior Motor Trade Underwriter to join their expanding team. This role encompasses both new business development and renewal processes, collaborating with a select group of brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively develop and underwrite Motor Trade Risks through established broker relationships, with opportunities for face-to-face underwriting.
  • Enhance the commercial account by fostering and nurturing relationships with both new and existing regional brokers.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to actively pursue growth targets, optimizing both sales and client retention.
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about the commercial insurance and broking landscape.
  • Offer technical support, manage referrals, and provide guidance to team members.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in underwriting and trading commercial Motor Trade products.
  • In-depth understanding of the North West broker market.
  • Demonstrated relationship management capabilities.
  • Ability to meet and exceed both personal and team performance objectives.
  • Minimum qualification of Cert CII; Dip CII or progress towards it is preferred.
  • Strong trading skills with a track record in prospecting and enhancing new business and retention.
  • Decisive and robust approach to underwriting.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
