About the Role
Sedgwick is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our international tax team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UK corporation tax regulations and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with UK corporation tax compliance and governance
- Prepare QIP calculations and tax forecasts
- Liaise with advisors on local country CFC and anti-hybrid requirements
- Business partner with stakeholders across EMEA to ensure tax deadlines are met
- Develop a tax compliance and governance framework for the international tax side of the business
- Manage tax advisors and stakeholders
- Assist with EMEA direct tax requirements
- Respond to ad hoc direct tax queries from the business
- Assist with corporate tax issues related to global mobility and PE risks across EMEA
- Support with correspondence with tax authorities
- Involvement in projects as they arise
- Assist with WHT management and clearance applications
Requirements
- Educated to degree level, a qualified tax accountant with a CTA
- Strong direct and indirect tax experience
- Commercial mindset
- Knowledge of and experience in direct tax requirements across UK and EMEA
- Insurance or claims management industry experience not essential but desirable
- Strong communicator with the ability to communicate with Executives and non-financial individuals alike
- Team player with willingness to help others beyond their formal role
