Key Responsibilities:
You will oversee a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance and timely delivery of services while fostering relationships and identifying further support opportunities.
This role is crucial within the Business and Corporate tax team, where you will provide a blend of compliance and advisory services to a diverse range of owner-managed businesses and larger international entities across various sectors.
Daily Tasks Include:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients to ensure compliance and identifying areas for additional support.
- Assisting in the training and development of the corporate tax team.
- Advising clients on business and tax strategies, including succession and remuneration planning.
- Focusing on business tax while possessing a foundational understanding of related tax areas affecting entrepreneurs.
- Supporting businesses throughout their lifecycle, including IP protection, structuring, and international growth.
- Providing guidance on equity incentivization tax aspects.
- Maintaining awareness of other tax areas handled by specialized teams.
- Engaging in networking and proposals to expand the corporate tax portfolio.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and ensuring a proactive service.
- Mentoring junior members of the Corporate Tax Team.
- Ensuring adherence to the firm's technical, ethical, and compliance standards.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will operate with a degree of autonomy, supported by the tax partners and directors as needed.
Relationship management is essential, and you will be expected to contribute to effective teamwork, liaising directly with clients and collaborating with colleagues while mentoring junior staff.
The tax landscape is ever-evolving, and adapting to technological advancements is crucial. In addition to client-facing duties, you will have opportunities to engage in internal initiatives aimed at enhancing the firm's tax strategy and processes.
- Proven experience with corporate clients and compliance management at a managerial level.
- Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA) or CIOT qualified tax adviser with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax.
- Familiarity with tax issues impacting corporations and their stakeholders.
- Understanding of additional business taxes and reporting processes is advantageous.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards and ability to interpret financial data.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
