About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Financial Planning Lead to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in shaping the Trust's financial strategy and ensuring the delivery of our financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial planning framework that aligns with the Trust's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the Financial Planning and Analysis function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to identify and mitigate financial risks, and to develop strategies to maximize financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support short-term and long-term financial planning.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the Trust Board and other stakeholders on financial matters.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in senior financial management roles, with a strong track record of delivering financial objectives.
  • Highly developed knowledge of health service financial management, statistics, and information analysis.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to achieve shared goals.
