Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Lawyer to join our team at Western Digital Capital. As an Associate General Counsel, Employment Law, you will play a critical role in shaping our employment law strategy and providing expert advice to our global business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Global Employment Law Expertise: Provide strategic guidance on employment law matters across Europe, with a focus on the UK, Germany, and France.
  • Document Drafting and Review: Draft, revise, and advise on employment-related documents, including offer letters, separation agreements, confidentiality agreements, and commission and bonus plans.
  • Employment Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Oversee and/or provide support regarding employment-related litigation, claims, charges, investigations, audits, and subpoenas.
  • Legislative Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor employment law-related legislation, regulations, legal developments, and government oversight activities that may affect the Company in EMEA.
  • Training and Development: Create and update training programs on various employment law topics.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the employment team, local counsel, and other stakeholders to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • 10+ Years of Employment Law Experience: Proven track record of working on cross-border and international employment law matters in Europe, with a focus on the UK, Germany, and France.
  • Employment Lawyer with UK Practicing Rights: Ability to practice law in the United Kingdom.
  • Strong Leadership and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent judgement, superior leadership, and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively spot risk and deliver creative solutions.
  • Collaborative and Effective Communicator: Highly collaborative with the ability to build relationships across various teams and functions, and effective communicator who can explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.
