Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist SEND school in South West London.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to pupils with sensory needs, including visual impairment and additional needs. You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans, and provide one-to-one support to pupils in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with sensory needs, including visual impairment and additional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans in collaboration with teaching staff
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils in the classroom
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with pupils with sensory needs and/or visual impairment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to pupils with additional needs
