Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Production Chemist to join our team and contribute to the development and production of colloidal quantum dots and other advanced nanomaterials.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process Development: Plan and develop safe and cost-effective manufacturing processes for colloidal quantum dots, scaling up from lab to full-scale commercial process.
  • Technical Solutions: Provide technical solutions and troubleshoot manufacturing issues based on safety protocols, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Equipment Assessment: Assess equipment and facilities during the scale-up process, including maintenance schedules and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with R&D and scale-up team members for tech transfer from R&D to pilot plan and/or full-scale manufacturing.
  • Product Optimization: Continually optimize and develop existing and new product lines to ensure best quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Provide and document all SOPs for manufacturing processes and testing techniques for existing and new products.
  • Reporting: Provide written reports covering undertaken work in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor or MSc degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or similar discipline.
  • Experience: Laboratory experience in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization is advantageous. Industrial experience in multi-stage process development, setting up reactors, and manufacturing lines is beneficial.
  • Skills: Confident with a practical hands-on approach in the lab, excellent self-starter, and dedicated team member. Flexibility and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and people skills.
