Job Summary:

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes, including high-volume monthly payroll processing, data management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate all information and documentation required for high-volume monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal payroll queries, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Process data from Time & Attendance systems, collate data, and manage payroll email inbox, responding to relevant queries in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and audit sickness reporting, maternity/paternity leave, and other statutory leave entitlements, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation.
  • In conjunction with the Payroll Manager, review, edit, amend, and approve timesheets and attendance records on the electronic timekeeping system.
  • Collate data from multiple sites, building excellent working relationships with managers, and supporting employee understanding of payslips and deductions.
  • Calculate statutory payments, such as sickness, maternity, and paternity leave, and holiday balances manually, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Deal with payroll queries effectively, providing clear and concise information to employees and management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume payroll environment, with a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation.
  • Excellent computer literacy, including MS Office, Excel, and Time & Attendance systems.
  • Strong Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables, with a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Good numerical skills, with the ability to complete manual calculations and deal with queries.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication.
