Job Title: Signalling Apprentice Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Signalling Apprentice Technician to join our team at Eurotunnel Services Limited. As a Signalling Apprentice Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our railway system.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of signalling equipment, as well as participating in the development and implementation of new signalling systems. You will work closely with our experienced engineers and technicians to ensure that our railway system operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of signalling equipment, including fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new signalling systems, including design, testing, and commissioning.
  • Work closely with our experienced engineers and technicians to ensure that our railway system operates safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of signalling systems and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of signalling systems with other railway systems.
Requirements:
  • A Levels or GCSEs at grades 9-5 in Maths, English, and a Science or Technical subject.
  • ONC or HNC electrical qualification is a distinct advantage, or a willingness to undertake this additionally as part of the requirements of the role.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web tools.
  • The ability to communicate in French would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for this role, which will ideally be held at appointment.
  • To meet the required medical standard for the role.
