Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Home Manager to lead our residential care service in Cardiff. As a Registered Home Manager, you will be responsible for the operational day-to-day management of the service, ensuring continued compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest quality of service is provided to service users by promoting a culture that aligns with the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework.
- Deliver a home environment that prioritizes the well-being and quality of life of service users, embracing a person-centred planning approach.
- Carry out monthly monitoring of the home, ensuring action plans are in place and implemented as necessary.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date Home Improvement Plan, driving actions in line with this.
- Proactively manage the home in relation to risk and regulation performance.
- Investigate significant events as necessary, ensuring reports are written and submitted to the relevant Director and agencies.
- Oversee complaints and safeguarding matters in conjunction with the responsible individual.
- Prepare a weekly management report for the regional manager, covering operational and regulatory matters.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 - Health and Social Care
- Considerable management experience in residential care
- Excellent skills in staff supervision and management
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team, developing good practice in a care/learning support context.
- Proven experience of working effectively with clients with learning disabilities and/or special needs.
