As a Civil Litigation Lawyer, you will be responsible for dealing with a variety of matters, including disrepair, homelessness, antisocial behaviour, unauthorised occupation, employment, and miscellaneous litigation. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in 2 or more of these areas and develop transferable skills to undertake a variety of work.

  • Conduct advocacy and manage your caseload with minimum supervision
  • Work at pace in a busy team environment
  • Develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of CILEX with a practising certificate. You will have knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, national policies, and legal procedures that apply to public sector work. You will also have experience of working in a Lexcel accredited office and understanding of the principles of client care.

  • Knowledge of local government law and administration
  • Understanding of risk as it relates to legal matters
  • Experience in advice, interpreting legal issues, and conducting legal casework
  • Ability to work unsupervised on a varied and extensive caseload
  • Ability to undertake advocacy at tribunals and courts
