Job Title:
Principal System Security Engineer

Job Duration: 12 Month contract with potential extension.

Job Overview:
Trispoke Managed Services is seeking a highly skilled Principal System Security Engineer to enhance our cybersecurity infrastructure. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing security measures for our systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and architect new enterprise security tools, as well as upgrade existing systems.
2. Operate effectively within a Linux or shell command line environment.
3. Provide application security support, including the creation of automated scripts.
4. Develop comprehensive documentation, including compliance guides, network diagrams, and user tutorials.
5. Research, prototype, and deploy innovative security technologies.
6. Collaborate closely with the 24/7 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to meet their requirements.
7. Mentor and train junior engineers as a lead engineer.
8. Assist in managing team functions and responsibilities.

Expectations:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, a strong work ethic, and a passion for cybersecurity. They should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to work both independently and collaboratively. The candidate will be expected to develop solutions to complex technical challenges and provide leadership within the team.

Essential Skills:
- Strong command of Linux and UNIX systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and Bash
- In-depth knowledge of network architecture and security principles
- Familiarity with networking protocols including SSL, TLS, DNS, TCP/IP, and more
- Experience with enterprise security tools

Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with enterprise security solutions
- Familiarity with Splunk for dashboard creation and alerting
- Experience with Linux operating systems
