Learning Support Facilitator

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at New City College. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in facilitating learning for 14-18s and adult students at all levels in our vibrant College.
Key Responsibilities- Work with cross-college curriculum teams to support students and their learning
- Liaise with external agencies to provide support for students with learning difficulties and disabilities
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of support for a variety of subjects
- Provide 1-1, in-class, and whole-class support to students
- Use initiative and creativity to problem-solve and direct independent learning
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to direct independent learning
- Minimum qualification requirement of Maths and English (GCSE grade A*-C or level 2 equivalent)
New City College is a dynamic group of further education colleges in East London, comprising Tower Hamlets College, Hackney Community College, Epping Forest College, Redbridge College, Havering College of Further & Higher Education, and Havering Sixth Form College. As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an 'Enhanced' DBS check, along with a Children's Barred List check if in regulated activity.
