Senior Management Accountant Opportunity at Chancellors Estate Agents

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a challenging role as a Senior Management Accountant at Chancellors Estate Agents. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a great eye for detail to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production and review of the Monthly Management Accounts
  • Overall responsibility for the preparation of the monthly management accounts for our subsidiary company, Life Financial Services Ltd.
  • Prepare month end financial analysis reports for senior management
  • Manage the 2 members of the Management Accountant team.
  • Answering any queries from Regional Directors / branch managers regarding their monthly accounts
  • Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts and liaise with non-finance departments to ensure that discrepancies are resolved.
  • Review and prepare commission statements for employees on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Assist with both company and client monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end financial reports and schedules for the companies' auditors.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with reviewing the statutory accounts received from auditors, raise any corrections required
  • Preparation of the quarterly VAT return
  • Assist the Compliance Officer in ensuring compliance with the company's Anti Money Laundering Policy.
  • Ensure that the company complies with Propertymark client money rules.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with the preparations of the annual budget
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required
Desired Candidate Experience:
  • 5 years' experience
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Fully Qualified
  • Strong experience in driving accounting process improvements
  • Strong experience in the production of month-end management accounts
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong communication skills, especially in advising the company's directors of the key issues in the accounts and internal procedures
