Position Overview

ROLE- Structural Steel Installer

LOCATION- Gloucester

EMPLOYMENT TYPE- Permanent

SALARY RANGE- £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Group Recruitment is actively seeking a proficient Structural Steel Installer to become a vital part of our client's workforce in Gloucester. Our client is a leader in the steel construction sector and is eager to enhance their team with a committed individual who possesses expertise in the assembly of steel frameworks.

Key Qualifications for the Structural Steel Installer:

  • Demonstrated experience in steel assembly and construction
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction or a related discipline (such as NVQ, CSCS card, etc.)
  • Capability to interpret and analyze technical schematics and plans
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and protocols
  • Skilled in the use of tools and machinery pertinent to steel assembly
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at elevated heights
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities
  • A meticulous approach to detail and a dedication to high-quality craftsmanship

Responsibilities of the Structural Steel Installer:

  • Assembling steel frameworks, structures, and various components on construction sites
  • Installing and positioning steel beams, columns, and girders in accordance with project specifications
  • Utilizing cranes and other lifting apparatus to maneuver steel elements
  • Ensuring all tasks are executed safely and in alignment with health and safety regulations
  • Working in conjunction with fellow team members and subcontractors to meet project deadlines
  • Conducting inspections and maintenance of equipment to guarantee optimal performance
  • Performing welding and bolting duties as necessary
  • Identifying and addressing any challenges that may arise during the assembly process
