We are seeking an exceptional educator to lead our English department and drive academic excellence in our students.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality learning takes place and outstanding attainment and progress are secured at all key stages. They will also lead the English department at the same high standard across all teaching.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a knowledge-rich English curriculum that inspires students to love learning
- Lead a team of English teachers to deliver exceptional teaching and learning
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive education
- Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and educational policies
- A strong academic record from a leading university in the subject field
- Passion for English with high cultural literacy to deliver sophisticated lessons
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ambition and determination to drive academic excellence
- Enthusiasm and energy to work with students and staff
