We are excited to introduce our inaugural Extra Care Supported Living service, providing a nurturing environment for 20 residents in their own apartments.
Experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or in a related field is advantageous but not mandatory. We provide a comprehensive training and onboarding program for all new hires.
As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire, you will join a dedicated team where each day presents unique challenges and rewards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, medication management, and meal support.
- Accompanying and aiding residents during activities within the facility and at external appointments.
- Promoting a Person-Centered approach, fostering independence, and helping individuals reach their personal aspirations.
- Keeping accurate and current records of care provided.

To excel in this position, you should possess:
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
- The flexibility to work creatively with clients and their families.
- Preferably some experience in personal care (not essential).
- The ability to perform under pressure and collaborate as part of a team.
- Willingness to work within scheduled hours and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
