Lead Land Acquisition Specialist

Location: West Midlands

Compensation: £90,000 plus Bonus and Benefits

Are you an experienced Land Acquisition Specialist seeking to join a prominent player in the residential development sector? This innovative organization is expanding its Land team and is in search of a Lead Land Acquisition Specialist to oversee operations in the West Midlands region.

Due to ongoing success and expansion, this role is pivotal in enhancing the company's land portfolio.

Reporting directly to the Land Director, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with landowners.

This firm is financially robust and is actively pursuing new projects across the West Midlands.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive site assessments, addressing planning, technical, and legal considerations.

Your attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work will be essential, along with your established network and experience in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site assessments, focusing on planning, technical, and legal aspects.
  • Develop and maintain strong, effective relationships with current clients and potential business sources.
  • Prepare fee proposals and assist in crafting marketing strategies and advice.
  • Provide expert guidance on strategic land agreements.
  • Evaluate and analyze offers received.
  • Draft heads of terms and collaborate with legal teams to ensure timely completion of sales.
  • Engage in negotiations with developers and landowners regarding options, restrictive covenants, and uplift clauses.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in land acquisition.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong self-management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proven experience in building relationships, networking, and promoting business interests.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings, including to remote or rural locations.

Compensation Package:

  • Base Salary: £85,000 (dependent on experience)
