Position Overview:
The Assistant Production Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the management of the production workflow. This position involves coordinating various activities to guarantee that resources are adequately available and that production is executed safely, efficiently, and punctually while adhering to quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation of production timelines.
- Supervise the production activities.
- Ensure the availability of necessary materials and resources for production.
- Contribute to optimizing the production process.
- Compile performance and progress reports for presentation to senior management.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
- Organize repairs for any malfunctioning equipment.
- Collaborate with various internal departments.
- Manage a team of 8 staff members on a daily basis.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a comparable production role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Prior experience in a battery manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication abilities.
- A results-oriented mindset.
- Proficient IT skills.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with three breaks totaling one hour: 15 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes for lunch, and 15 minutes in the afternoon.
Holiday Entitlement:
28 days of holiday, inclusive of bank holidays, with 3 days reserved for the period between Christmas and New Year.
Compensation:
Salary up to £32,000, with a monthly bonus paid in arrears.
