This position is available for candidates located in the Aberdeen / Aberdeenshire region or the Central Belt of Scotland, with options for full-time or part-time engagement.
This role is perfectly suited for individuals who possess the expertise to assess and validate candidates pursuing SVQ or MA qualifications. You will evaluate the skills and knowledge of candidates as they navigate their educational journey, ensuring compliance with SQA standards.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will provide guidance to fellow assessors on the application of standards, reviewing assessment methodologies prior to SQA verification.

Role Responsibilities:
On a daily basis, your tasks will include (this list is not exhaustive; a more detailed job description is available):
- Monitoring candidate progress, providing constructive feedback, and offering support to facilitate their advancement.
- Planning assessments in alignment with the requirements and procedures of awarding bodies.
- Assessing and evaluating candidates to confirm their competency.
- Creating tailored learning programs.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Residing in Aberdeenshire or the Central Belt.
- Possessing a minimum SVQ Vocational Qualification SCQF Level 7, ideally SCQF 9 or equivalent.
- Holding an SVQ Qualification in Assessment (D23 & D33 or A1 or L&D 9Di Level 3).
- Having a PDA External/Internal Verifier award for SVQ or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
- Demonstrating substantial experience in Health and Social Care.
- Exhibiting strong organizational skills to effectively manage a portfolio of learners.
- Being creative and capable of assisting candidates in overcoming learning obstacles.
- Being proficient in online tools, including Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft applications.
- Possessing a valid UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
