Position: Literature Educator

Location: Dibden Park School, Southampton

Compensation: Up to £41,000 annually based on experience

Work Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Employment Type: Permanent, Term Time Only

As we continue to expand, we are thrilled to offer a remarkable opportunity for a Literature Educator to become part of our dedicated team at Dibden Park School located in Southampton.

Role Overview

The objective is to deliver a high-quality educational experience for our students, adhering to the policies, procedures, and standards established by the Regulatory Body.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and instruct individual students or small groups in alignment with the School's Curriculum framework and associated policies.
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress.
  • Contribute to and assist in the implementation of initiatives related to the School Development Plan.
  • Promote, in accordance with Company policies, the physical, educational, and moral growth of the students.
  • Support the development and execution of a learning environment and program tailored to individual student needs to ensure appropriate progression.
  • Oversee the teaching, development, assessment, documentation, and reporting of subjects across key stages as agreed with the Head Teacher.
  • Develop, implement, and review individual education plans and behavior plans in collaboration with other staff.
  • Organize the classroom, resources, student groupings, and displays to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Plan adequately to ensure student safety, in accordance with risk assessments, both on and off-site.
  • Ensure Learning Support Assistants/Tutors/Instructors and care staff are well-informed and capable of producing effective teaching resources.
  • Manage challenging behavior, guiding students from needing external control to developing self-regulation.
  • Actively participate as a member of the School's multi-professional team, fostering effective working relationships with colleagues.
