About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at NewOrbit Space. As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our air-breathing electric propulsion system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and test electronic circuits for sensing, real-time monitoring, communicating, and controlling various subsystems of the air-breathing propulsion system.
  • Develop and implement complex control algorithms using FPGAs, MCUs, and other electronic components.
  • Collaborate with our power and propulsion scientists and engineers to develop and test our flagship satellite to ultra-low Earth Orbit (ULEO).
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of satellite technology development, from design to launch.
Requirements
  • Advanced university degree in electronics or a relevant field (MEng, MSc, or PhD).
  • Excellent understanding of digital and analogue electronics, control systems, and signal processing.
  • Experience with FPGAs, MCUs, and other electronic components.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-working skills.
  • Enthusiasm for space science and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Research and development experience in digital signal processing, control systems, and electronics.
  • Experience with PCB design, schematic, and layout using Altium or similar tools.
  • Background in the aerospace industry or related field.
