Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

Are you a skilled engineer looking for a challenging role in the industrial gas turbine sector? We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Commissioning Engineer to oversee the commissioning process for turbine-powered generator sets. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of gas turbine technology and generator set operations, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the commissioning process for turbine-powered generator sets, ensuring they meet operational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on the installation and operation of gas turbines.
  • Conduct performance tests and validate the reliability and efficiency of systems.
  • Prepare comprehensive commissioning documentation and reports.
Requirements:
  • Multi-disciplined qualified engineer, HNC/HND or degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to understand technical electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills on both electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • PLC control code understanding and development experience (Allen Bradley RS Logix is preferred).
  • SCADA understanding and development experience (Wonderware preferred).
  • Generator protection knowledge and experience.
