About the Role

The School is a small alternative provision in Gloucester, catering for Key Stage 3 students. The school provides education for students who are at risk of permanent exclusion. Small classes allow for targeted teaching that meets individual needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of the manager to provide general classroom support and lead maths interventions.
  • Support students during lessons and lead some maths lessons when requested.
  • Lead maths interventions to support students' learning.

Essential Criteria/Skills

  • HLTA qualification and a very good level of spoken and written English.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and strong maths skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience working with Key Stage 3 pupils and previous experience teaching maths lessons.
