Cover Supervisor Position

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic school in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of students' education in the absence of their regular teachers.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their work.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- Provide support and assistance to students as needed, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
- Follow lesson plans and ensure students complete their assigned tasks, promoting a sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of classroom management and student support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers, students, and other school staff.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, promoting a culture of mutual respect and support.
- A positive and proactive attitude towards helping students, demonstrating a commitment to their educational success.
- Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices, ensuring a student-centred approach to teaching and learning.
