Senior Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation and Robotics Professional to join our team at JMP Solutions - Canada. As a key member of our Automation and Robotics Division, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robotic automation systems for our clients across North America.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Resolve Complex Issues: Support customers experiencing challenges with existing robotic automation equipment by gaining a thorough understanding of the current condition and issues.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance: Regularly perform maintenance tasks such as oil replacements, cleaning, and lubrication to ensure optimal performance and longevity of robots.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Experience: Deliver an extraordinary customer experience while tackling field service requests.
- Calibrate and Troubleshoot PLCs and Robots: Calibrate and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), robots, motion systems, and vision systems.
- Test and Implement Automation Systems: Test and implement a variety of robotic and flexible automation systems.
- Travel and Collaboration: Travel to customer sites in North America several times per year, typically lasting 1-2+ weeks per trip, with typical travel up to 60-80% of the year. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on innovative projects.
- Experience with Robotics: Experience with robotics would be considered an asset.
- Programming and Electrical Design: Ability to comprehend existing PLC and robot programs, electrical drawings.

- Travel and High Pressure Situations: Loves to travel and be on the road, thrives in high pressure situations.
- Portfolio of Projects: A portfolio of projects in which you made significant contributions.
- Electrical and Mechanical Drawings: Proficiency with reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
