Technical Author Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Technical Author to join our innovative team at Futura Design. This is a 4-month contract with the option of extension until 31st December 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and quantify program change content using gateway papers and Product Direction Letters (PDLs) within the Global Product Development System (GPDS) framework.
  • Create layered images in Adobe Photoshop and generate new content that explains the issue / changes with annotations as required.
  • Import the new images/content into Adobe InDesign and create a draft BEMM document for review.
  • Consolidate input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and agree the content for publication.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and broker an agreed consensus.
  • Update the Adobe In-Design file in the relevant section of the BEMM.
  • Consider the document will be translated into 7 x European languages and remain customer-focused throughout.
  • Work to the BEMM loading/capacity chart to manage updates.
  • Track all open issues to closure.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Body & Equipment Mounting Manuals (BEMM) and contribute to the development of innovative products.
