About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Worker. This position involves providing essential assistance to a client who experiences mobility challenges. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the client's quality of life through various support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Accompany the client to medical appointments and social engagements.
- Assist with weekly shopping trips and community outings.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
Work Schedule
The working hours are flexible and can be tailored to fit the needs of both the client and the candidate. Typically, the role will require a commitment of 2 hours per week, scheduled during the early afternoon.
Additional Opportunities
There is potential for increased hours due to the current staff member's long-term absence. During this period, additional hours may be available, offering up to 10 hours per week as a temporary arrangement.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are essential.
- Successful candidates will undergo DBS and reference checks, with costs covered by the local authority.
