Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with various departments to maintain seamless transport schedules while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and health and safety standards.
  • Work with the Planner to organize farm collections and customer deliveries, adjusting schedules as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance, addressing defects reported by drivers and ensuring regular inspections are carried out.
  • Brief and debrief drivers at the start and end of each shift, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Track driver utilization and maintain accurate KPI data to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Handle urgent calls outside normal hours to address any logistical issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the transport sector, with experience in transport planning considered advantageous.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Proficient in computer systems including spreadsheets, email, and databases.
