About the RoleThe post holder will be responsible for providing medical cover at the Forest Close site in Sheffield, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients with severe mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Attend ward team meetings and provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary ward team.
- Conduct medical/psychiatric assessments for care planning and risk assessment.
- Formulate and deliver appropriate pharmacological and psychological interventions to aid recovery.
- Assess individuals detained under the Mental Health Act and attend Tribunal hearings.
- Complete administrative tasks necessary for clinical responsibilities.
- Write Mental Health Review Tribunal Reports or reports to other agencies.
- Liaise with members of other teams to transfer patients into and out of inpatient services.
- Attend CPA reviews and pre-discharge planning meetings.
- Provide clinical supervision to junior medical staff and teach undergraduate medical students.
