Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer Job Overview:

An opportunity has arisen within a dynamic team dedicated to assessing and validating the external supply chain to guarantee the successful provision of components for Development initiatives ahead of full-scale Production.

We seek a candidate with a strong background in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Project Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of suppliers and manage the Industrial Validation Strategy.
  • Evaluate and confirm the capabilities of the supply chain and suppliers.
  • Conduct Industrial Validation tasks such as Process FMEAs and Production Readiness Assessments.
  • Identify and address risks associated with manufacturing and the supply chain.
  • Facilitate elements of manufacturing capability transfer.
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defence sectors is advantageous.
  • Able to assist suppliers in achieving quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness in production.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction or manufacturing capability transfer is preferred.
  • Proficient in Industrial Validation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various teams.
