Murray Myers Limited, a leading manufacturer of industrial and commercial heating systems, is seeking a motivated and eager Assistant Estimator to contribute to their design team.
Role Overview:The Estimating Operative plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and support to both internal and external customers. The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the achievement of the company's sales and service level targets by ensuring accurate, timely, and professional estimating activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Quote Management: Log and raise quotes and drawings using the company's CRM system.
- Ensure all customer quotations and designs are processed, managed, and closed within 48 hours of receiving the enquiry.
- Proactively follow up and close sales quotations to drive conversions.
- Provide design and customer service support to both internal and external teams, as well as UK and export customers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service in line with the company's objectives.
- Identify areas for system and control improvements and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in external visits to conduct site surveys, initially under the supervision of a sales manager, and later, independently as required.
You are an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills and a keen interest in learning. Your strong attention to detail allows you to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required, and experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is highly desirable. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate enthusiasm for collaborative projects. Strong desire to learn and improve. A knowledge in Gas and Oil is advantageous.
