About the Role

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team in a leadership role. As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the residential children's service, supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
  • Mentor and support newer staff members to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Encourage young people to take responsibility for their own lives and participate in activities
  • Maintain a safe and homely environment for the young people
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People is essential
  • Experience in a residential children's home environment is essential
  • Full driving licence is essential as you may be required to transport the children from time to time
