Maintenance Engineer (Double Days) - Selby

Job Summary:

Futures is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Selby. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance tasks, fault finding, and breakdown repairs. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager to achieve budgeted machine performance targets and ensure the machines are running at peak performance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete planned electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown repairs.
  • Maintain and repair plant and equipment to high Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Hygiene standards.
  • Ensure all Engineering work is carried out efficiently and effectively, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety Legislation, and current Company Standards.
  • Fault diagnose and complete breakdown repairs of process equipment, packaging equipment, and site services.
  • Undertake training and up-skilling programmes to stay up-to-date with technological advancements and maintain skill level.
  • Facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and help plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment.
  • Provide an in-depth handover to the oncoming shift, including Engineering, manufacturing, and warehouse issues.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an Electrical Engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C and G Level 3 qualifications or higher.
  • Degree/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
