About the Role:

This is a senior-level position that will report directly to our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and will work closely with a team of experienced developers and other disciplines to design and develop mobile, free-to-play casual games.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game development, with expertise in Unity and C#. They will be responsible for owning the implementation of a wide range of features, from gameplay and meta to live-ops and free-to-play best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning the implementation of features from gameplay and meta to live-ops and F2P best practices
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure high-quality delivery of content and features in the game
  • Helping team members improve their skills and productivity through brainstorming and tool-building

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Unity and C# with a strong background in game development
  • High professional standards with good attention to quality and detail
  • Proactive and eager to learn and improve skills
  • Experience working on commercially successful mobile games
  • Ability to work closely with other disciplines to iterate on gameplay and features

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in animation, 3D modeling, and 2D art pipelines
  • Experience writing shaders for mobile platforms
  • Familiarity with build pipelines, automation, and testing frameworks
  • Backend development for mobile games, either custom or with BaaS platforms
  • Passion for the mobile casual games market

Work Environment:

Trailmix Games operates under a hybrid work model, with 3 days a week spent in our studio in Kings Cross and 2 days available to work from home.
